Remembrance Service: Sunday 9 November 2025

For the annual Remembrance Day event held in Horndean Square the following road closures will be in effect:

  • Havant Road, London Road, Portsmouth Road and Five Heads Road will be closed between 10am until 12 noon.
  • Blendworth Lane will be closed between 9.45am – 1pm.

There will be full diversions within the area and emergency access only will be permitted due to the amount of people that will be attending. A Traffic Management Company will be in attendance and managing the area.

The following roads will be affected by the Five Heads Road closure:

  • Merchistoun Road
  • Tarbery Crescent
  • Queens Crescent
  • Highcroft Lane
  • Durlands Road
  • Bentley Close
  • Bridget Close
  • Chalk Hill Road.

Diversions are in place and signs will be put up with instructions. This is to create a safe environment to allow the Parade to march down to and return from The Square in Horndean. Closures will be removed once the Service and parade has completed.
